Adding Another Aircraft! YTO Express and Atlas Air Deepen Strategic Cooperation

The continuous growth of cross-border e-commerce has further driven the demand for air cargo. On March 13, YunExpress, a subsidiary of Zongteng Group, deepened its strategic partnership with Atlas Air by signing a new charter agreement. As part of their long-term cooperation agreement, starting in April this year, YunExpress will collaborate with Atlas Air to add an additional aircraft, operated by a Boeing B777F freighter, with six flights per week to the United States, further expanding the air cargo network layout.

Including Zongteng’s two own Boeing 777s and a previously existing charter aircraft, Zongteng will have a total of four independently controlled intercontinental freighters, providing a solid guarantee for further improving the quality of Zongteng’s international logistics network for cross-border e-commerce.

Michael Steen, CEO of Atlas Air Worldwide, stated: “”We are pleased to expand our long-term strategic partnership with YunExpress. The booming cross-border e-commerce has driven a huge demand for Atlas’ large wide-body freighter capacity. Through close cooperation with YunExpress, we are solidifying Atlas’ position as a leading provider of high-quality air transport capacity for cross-border e-commerce. Atlas possesses excellent global operational capabilities and high-quality solutions, capable of providing continuous support for global supply chains.””

Wang Zuan, President of Zongteng Group, said: “”In December last year, YunExpress, in cooperation with Atlas Air, launched the Xiamen-Miami charter route, and the route has been operating stably. The signing of this new agreement further deepens and consolidates the strategic partnership between the two parties. With four freighters operated by YunExpress, we will effectively meet the growing capacity demand between China and Europe and the United States. In the future, we will further expand routes and fleet size, providing customers with more convenient and diverse global transportation options, ensuring supply chain resilience, and supporting the steady development of customers’ international business.””

Atlas Air is a subsidiary of Atlas Air Worldwide Holdings, providing leading global aircraft leasing and aviation operational services, and operating the world’s largest fleet of 747 freighters. It offers customers a wide range of capacity options, including Boeing 747, 777, 767, and 737, to meet domestic, regional, and international cargo and passenger transport needs.
